 A Associação 25  de Abril  realizou uma homenagem ao Capitão Salgueiro Maia, o militar que obrigou, pelas armas, o regime ditatorial a render-se,  no  mesmo local onde isso aconteceu há 40 anos,  no Largo do Carmo.

The 25 Abril  Association,  organized  the event remembering Salgueiro Maia, already died, the youth  Capitain  who conduct the army to obtain the surrender of the old  political regime and Prime Minister,  by the force of the arms,  the 25 th April 1974 during the afternoon and in front of thounds of citizens in a  demonstration of aim for democracy and the end of colonial war  and deads for the youth sons.

 The former President of Brasil, Lula da Silva, gave us an idea  how the portuguese revolution contributed for democracy , later, in Brasil, and his election as President.
